Who Needs An Adrenaline Fix?

July 15, 2015 by Big Bear Real Estate Leave a Comment

This post is part 2 in a series of entries entitled “Things To Do In Big Bear”.

Big Bear has more resort market value than ever and it’s only getting better.  For those on the prowl for adventure, Big Bear offers up many options.  These are our top 10 picks for getting your heart pounding in the fresh mountain air.

Things To Do In Big Bear – Get Your Adrenaline Fix

1. Soar through the trees on a zipline

Action Zipline offers you thrills in the tree tops!  The three-hour tour includes an off-road jeep ride into the forest with nine high-speed zipline lines that run down the mountain through the treetops.

2. View the Big Bear valley from high in the sky

One of the best ways to see a bird’s eye view of Big Bear and the San Bernardino Mountains is from the vantage point of a helicopter.  Helicopter Big Bear takes flight out of the Big Bear Airport.

3. Jump off the rocks at China Island

The deep water area around China Island down by the dam is a popular gathering place.  Park your boat and watch others cannonball into the lake from atop the boulders or hold your breath and take the plunge yourself!

4. Make some wakes on the lake with a personal watercraft

Stop by any of the marinas and take out a PWC (aka waverunner).  It’s an amazing way to buzz around Big Bear Lake with the wind in your hair!

5. Play a round of golf at Bear Mountain Golf Course

Maybe it’s not exactly an adrenaline rush, but for those who get pumped from crushing a good drive, it’s a hit on your to do list.  Does the ball fly farther at 7000 feet?

6. Mountain bike at Snow Summit

Snow Summit is the only lift-served bike park in Southern California.  From downhill trails with advanced features to the breathtaking cross-country Skyline Trail, there is something for riders of all ages and skill levels.

7. Get airborne with Action Aqua Flight

It’s water jet-propelled flight on Big Bear Lake!  Feel like a superhero as you hover above the water.  Fly Boarding is a fast, fun and exciting new water sport that is literally taking off!

8. Wakeboard without a boat at The Cable Park

Designated Wakesports is proud to bring you the first public two tower ski system in Southern California!  No boat is necessary to enjoy wakeboarding, waterskiing, wakeskating or knee boarding.

9. Race down the track at Alpine Slide

No need for snow on these bobsleds.  After a leisurely chairlift ride to the top, navigate your own individually controlled sled down a quarter mile cement track with high-banked turns and long straightaways.

10. Soar with the eagles above the lake

Out at the Fun Dock at Pine Knot Marina, you can fly high on a thrilling parasail ride and enjoy beautiful aerial views from 500 feet up.
